Iowa Core math document
The Iowa Core for Mathematics from the Iowa Department of Education
Appendix A of the Common Core state standards for math
Appendix A is not part of the Iowa Core, but it gives suggestions for ways to organize high school standards by course, It also provides guidance on how to compact middle school courses for those students who will be ready for Algebra I in 8th grade.

6 Shifts toward implementation
The Iowa Core asks that we teach differently than we have in the past. This resource will give you a description of each of these shifts.
flip books
These documents are intended to show the connections to the Standards of
Mathematical Practices and the content standards and to get detailed
information and instructional strategies at each level. Resources used:
CCSS, Arizona DOE, Ohio DOE and North Carolina DOE. Each “Flip Book” is
intended to help teachers understand what each standard means in terms of
what students must know and be able to do. It provides only a sample of
instructional strategies and examples. The goal of every teacher should be
to guide students in understanding & making sense of mathematics.
